In todays video I demonstrate how to enable a local administrator account on a windows 10 operating system and I discuss how this can assist in preventing scams. Several of my elderly clients have fallen victim to scams. Scammers are known to trick their victims to install a remote access application on their computer so they can attempt to access their online bank accounts. By enabling administrator passwords, the elderly can provide their kids with the administrator password for their computer system. This strategy can prevent scammers from tricking the elderly into installing applications to gain access to their system. If your elderly parents receive a call from a scammer, they will need to contact the kids to gain the administrator password. This can catch a scam in progress to protect your elderly parents assets.
