Using Generative AI to simulate an Emu Uprising, Part Two.

12/06/25 by Mr Shane Currie | Sole Trader - Shanes Computing, Networking and Cyber Security

Following up on my forst video series were I used generative AI to simulate a fictional Emu uprising in Australia, I have created new videos to demonstrate the current capabilities of generative AI and why you shouldnt believe everything that you watch online, especially digital news posted on social media..

You can watch part one of the series via the following link:

In the first video of the second series, the Emu overlords stage a presentation in their military compound, the Emus plan to create deepfake videos of the Kangaroos to cause division in society to distract the public from the Eum uprising.

In the second video, the Emus launch operations in their command centre to create deepfake videos of the Kangaroos.

In the third video, the Emus create a deepfake video of a Kangaroo stealing candy from a baby.

In the fourth video, the humans are bombarded with fake digital news via social media.

In the fifth and final video of season two, a Kangaroo reads a newspaper alerting the public of fake digital news on social media.

While taking a comedic look at issues regarding deepfakes and generative AI, these short videos raise awareness of how easy it is to create fake digital news and post it on the internet. The best course of action to combat fake news is to receive your news from a traditional newspaper instead of receiving your news from social media. It should be noted, that a true journalist acquires news from fact checking and investigation, not from scrolling social media. Leave social media for funny pictures, MEMES and cat videos and acquire your news from the newspaper.
